Frank Hines Architect of the West - 2017
My partner's Grandfather became an architect after returning from World War II. He was a crucial player in designing Western Sydney. Unfortunately, he passed away in May 2017, and as a gift, to his family, I drew 3 iconic places in he designed. These are the Fairfield Clock Tower, The Auburn Aquatic Centre and the Merrylands Presbyterian Church. The colours were inspired by the tiles seen at the Auburn Aquatic Centre, which were very iconic and bold at the time

I love these! My father grew up in Auburn, so that was his local pool, and I used to work in Fairfield and see the clock tower everyday!
